Overview

Payroll Mexico is one of the most specialized Employer of Record services in North America. For 17 years they’ve helped foreign companies hire in Mexico without opening a legal entity, handling payroll, compliance, and employee management so their clients don’t have to.



Before building anything, Phos AI Labs mapped the entire operation, how new clients came in, how the team handled existing client communication, how information moved between systems, and what 17 years of client data actually contained.


From that audit, two problems came into focus, and two AI employees were built to solve them. The first is an SDR: a Sales Development Representative that prospects every day, qualifies leads against a profile built from 17 years of actual client history stored in Supabase, and delivers verified prospects ready for a proposal.


The second lives inside Zendesk, where all client communication happens, and connects every incoming ticket with the full context behind it, contracts, employee records, compliance history, pulled automatically from Supabase. No more opening four systems to answer one question.


The Problem

With 20 people running an 8 figure a year operation, every gap in the pipeline is a deal that never happened.



The pipeline was fully passive. No one was looking for new clients.


  • The entire pipeline ran on SEO and referrals. No one at Payroll Mexico was actively prospecting.
  • If a company that needed EOR in Mexico didn’t find them first, that company was never going to hear from them.
  • There was no documented profile of who their best clients were. 17 years of client data sat in a database that had never been analyzed, no record of what industry, company type, or situation made a client a great fit.
  • Without that profile, even if they wanted to go find clients, they had no clear picture of who to look for.


Every client question required opening multiple systems to find the answer.

  • All client communication happens through Zendesk tickets.
  • When a ticket came in, answering it meant leaving Zendesk, opening Google Drive, finding the right contract file, scrolling through a 40-page document to locate the relevant clause, then switching to email to find a separate thread, piecing everything together, and only then being able to respond. Every single ticket. Every single time.
  • The information existed. It just lived in different places, and someone had to go get it manually every single time a client reached out.

Build two AI employees that work together: one that finds the right prospects before they find Payroll Mexico, and one that keeps the operations team focused on the work that actually moves the business forward.

The AI employees are already learning. The owner rates each daily prospect report from inside the app, and that feedback sharpens the next one. He’s already submitted feature requests to expand scraping to international job sites, from inside the app, the same week it launched.


Behind the scenes, the work continues. AI employees are not delivered and left alone. And a full ICP analysis from 17 years of client data, something Payroll Mexico has never had in documented form.
